This 13th century American Indian village is located near the Great Miami River in Dayton, OH. Archaeological digs between 1971 and 1988 have revealed that this was a planned settlement around 800 years ago. The site also features an Interpretive Center where guests can learn more about the site and watch a short film.

SunWatch Indian Village is a historical site that serves as an educational center and is located on 3 acres of land near the Great Miami River. It features reconstructed artifacts from a Fort Ancient American Indian village. The Fort Ancient culture inhabited the Middle Ohio River valley from 1000 to 1650 AD and ranged from Southeastern Indiana to modern day West Virginia. SunWatch is open to the public and features guided tours, festivals, and overnight programs.

SunWatch Indian Village is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The village is also open on Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 per adult or $6 for students and seniors. SunWatch is open year-round, although it is closed on major holidays.
